The main focus of this course is to practice a student in technical, technological and sustainable "thinking". This is practiced by exploring several subject, such as:

  • SDGs
  • Climate, energy and energy-transition
  • Cooling and thermal energy
  • Sustainable energy production
  • Sensor technology
  • System thinking

Interactive colleges

Distance education: monitored self study. Bachelor Degree students via Distance Education review the study material on an independent basis and will be in contact with their fellow students (distance learning platforms). Student coaching sessions during the semester (in the evening) will allow you to ask questions about the theory.

The final grade for this course is calculated as the sum of the different evaluations:

  • 10 points for the written exam
  • 10 points for the permanent evaluation 
  • If not all evaluations are fulfilled, the endpoint for this course will be = NA.

If a point of 3,50/10 or less is achieved on the exam or permanent evaluation, the result of the OPO will be reduced to the result of the component with the lowest mark, in accordance with the training and examination regulations.

The assignment, submission modes and deadlines are to be found on the electronic platform Toledo.

Distance Learning: The exam is normally planned on weekday evenings.
