Extra information will be provided on Toledo.

You work in small groups. The theory will be explained and subsequently applied in practical sessions. The teachers coach you throughout this process.

Distance education: monitored self study. Bachelor Degree students via Distance Education do not have to take lectures or practical courses, but are allowed to participate. They will receive the study material and will be in contact with their fellow students (distance learning platform or Toledo). Student counselling sessions during the semester will allow you to ask questions about the theory.

Some of the lectures will take place on campus and some will take place online. The planning will be available on the Toledo-platform. The information presented here regarding the organization of classes and evaluation modalities may change at any time in response to the epidemiological reality. All changes will be communicated via Toledo. Check Toledo regularly for updates on the latest correct information.

You work in groups on a project. The teachers provide coaching to the project groups.

If a lesson takes place on-campus (cfr planning on Toledo), your presence during the lessons / practicals is required. Every on-campus lesson linked to this course is compulsory (unless legally absent), otherwise the total mark for this course unit will be reduced to NA. You also have to follow the online theoretical lessons. You will receive partial assignments throughout this course.
The on-campus classes with compulsory participation start already in the second week of the academic year. Students who register later for this course and consequently miss one or more of these classes, cannot pass this course (and should consult with the learning path counselor about whether or not to take the course).
Distance students who follow this course through HAO are not obliged to attend the on-campus classes, but those who wish may also participate. You must follow the submission dates for the various partial evaluations. Distance students also work in groups (of at least two persons) on their project. You follow at least one compulsory on-line coaching session (cfr Toledo for practical information).

Type : Continuous assessment without exam during the examination period
Description of evaluation : Paper/Project, Presentation, Participation during contact hours
Learning material : None

AssessmentGrading scale
TOTALPass / Fail

You will be permanently evaluated with the final result a score of A, B, C or D which is converted into grades. The criteria for the conversion will be available on Toledo. If you received a score of D for two or more components, the total final evaluation will be noted as D, which means that you have not passed this course. In that case, all components with a score of C and D will be retaken in the third examination period. The final evaluation for this course is "passed" or "failed".

If a lesson takes place on-campus (cfr planning on Toledo), your presence during the lessons / practicals is required. Every on-campus lesson linked to this course unit is compulsory (unless legally absent), otherwise the total grade for this course unit will be reduced to NA. You also have to go through the online theoretical lessons. You will receive partial assignments during the lessons. Everyone takes an oral individual exam about the project during the group presentation with a questions-session. If you received a "D" for two or more parts, the final evaluation is "not passed". In that case, all components with a C or a D will be retaken during examination period 3.

Distance education students (HAO) are not required to attend the on-campus classes, but must adhere to the submission dates for the various partial evaluations. The same evaluation principle applies to HAO students as to regular students. The distance students should compulsory follow at least one on-line coaching moment (cfr info on Toledo)

If you obtained a D for two or more parts of the course, the total score is a D and you did not pass the course. If you did not pass the course, you can update the deficits in the third exam period for all parts with a score C or D. Students that had not yet finished the project parts, can submit a full project in exam period three, with all constituting parts.
