In this course a number of actual topics are discussed as applications of modern agro- and biotechnology. Animal welfare, humans in their ecosystem, sustainable development and entrepeneurship, a globalising society, environment, climate, food production for 10 billion people, water, natural resources, system- and scenario thinking. 

This final part of the bachelor program on Agro- and biotechnology wants to teach a student the ability to, on an independent basis, place an actual, complex issue in the right context, analyze it and, if possible, formulate solutions.

Most of the lectures will be thaught in Dutch. 

This course is organised as a combination of lectures and seminars (digital and/or live) and discussions, in group or individually.
