In these courses you choose laboratory work because you want to join the research of diseases in humans, plants or animals.
The meticulous execution of laboratory research is the focal point of the program.
Each affiliated laboratory offers a wide range of laboratory tests and uses up to date instrumentation.

Students are taught by experienced technologists.
They accurately prepare and execute analyses and experiments based on the principles of biomedical technology and integrate quality and safety.
Students keep a diary of the executed assignments and write a biweekly report.

Spring or Autumn Semester

Study load 375h. During the placement period students work five days per week.

Students work in a lab of a University Faculty or Company near the Odisee Tecchnology Campus in Ghent from where the traineeship will be managed.

Evaluation of the work placement by the mentor.

The score will be determined by the work placement coordinator, based on an evaluation form.
A student who meets the requirements for a Learning Result obtains a good level for that LR. 
If the student obtains a poor or insufficient score for one of the items to which a caesura is applied, the final score can be insufficient at the most.

No 2nd examination opportunity.
